Core

Core is a handmade, one of a kind, necklace with two silicon specimens from the Swiss Apls holding a Sri Lankan natural pink sapphire core. The design features 18kt melted-looking gold accents and an 18kt gold chain. The round brilliant cut Pink Sapphire 2.5cts acts as the centerpiece of the necklace, carving a space for itself between the two silicon specimens as if the gem was breaking the earth to see the light. The design effectively captures the essence of the genesis of gemstones in a visually striking manner.

Origins

Crafted from 18kt gold using a wax casting technique, the necklace boasts an Anishinaabe Harpoon head 1000 A.D. found in the Great Lakes region, perfectly complemented by the Japanese Akoya pearls and diamonds. Originally used as a harpoon point, this remarkable copper piece is a rare specimen usually found in museums. With a deep respect for history, this jewelry piece breathes new life into ancient treasures. Observing

The work uses layers of circular outlines and changes in folds to design the process of human cognition of the world. The nested structure of concentric circles makes the work present an aesthetic feeling of continuous expansion or contraction, and the overall work reflects a comfortable sense of flow. The combination of gold and diamonds creates a rich and colorful picture and a texture of contrasting layers. The two texture treatments on the metal deepen the layering and spatial extension of the work, reflecting good craftsmanship.

Fairies

These earrings are asymmetric, which was inspired by the duality of Day and Night. One earring is depicted in white gold as Fairy of the Day, with diamond flowers and an emerald heart. The other earring, Fairy of the Night, is depicted in black gold, with a ruby heart and diamond stars. The design of the piece was combined with its technical side while maintaining it lightweight. First, a 3D model was created and grown by prototyping on a 3D printer. The cast was made in gold and polished. Then, 403 precious stones were fixed into the base product and the parts were connected.
